Tīhei mauri ora! While learning te reo Māori, my son Luke (6 years old) drew me cool pictures to practice making te reo sentences; I then tried to make him laugh with a simple story using what I know. Our mahi together has helped me practice, and now we have some cool books to share with others! We hope our dragon friends help others on their reo journey or just make people laugh.

Based in the super scenic Māwhera, Luke is a young artist very keen on comics, video games, and cats! Luke wants to practice making comics and one day create them all by himself (in te reo too!). As his mum, I want to support that and keep practicing myself by making cool little te reo books. I actually use our book while I'm in class! (to remember word orders, etc.). I'm still studying and find it so helpful, and it keeps things light and fun.
